I’m Vanessa. I’m Swedish, and I’ve been drawing since I was a kid, long before anything else. But painting wasn’t the first thing I studied.
I trained in furniture design first, then architecture, and worked across Brazil, Spain, and Sweden before painting became the main thing. That background never really left. Thinking in terms of space, proportion, and structure is still how I see a canvas, even in the pieces that look loose or unplanned. It’s what makes the work mine.
Everything here is made by hand, one at a time, by me. If you buy something, I’ll know exactly which piece went to you, and I’ll probably remember it for a long time.
Acrylic, pencil, whatever’s on the table. I work fast and I don’t plan much. Most of these happen in one or two sittings, and the ones that take longer usually get worse, not better.
Every painting is one of one. Shipping across Europe is included in the price, and there’s a handwritten note in every box. The t-shirts come in editions of twenty with the number stitched in.
